Cherry Coffee Cake

¾ Cup butter
1 ½ Cup sugar
3 Eggs
½ Teaspoon almond extract
3 Cups flour
1 ½ Teaspoon baking soda
1 Eight ounce container sour cream
1 Can cherry pie filling

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray two 9” cake pans. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, add extract. Combine flour and soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Divide batter evenly in pans, spreading cherry pie filling on top. Sprinkle streusel topping over filling. Bake 25 to 35 minutes.

Streusel topping:
Combine ½ cup flour, ¼ cup sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Cut in ¼ cup butter until crumbly.
