THE CHALLENGE

Arizona and California markets have been treated to Cartel Coffee Lab for many years and, when the opportunity to expand into the Texas market became available, the fast-growing coffee shop set its sights on Austin, Texas. Located in one of Austin’s trendiest new neighborhoods in a boutique hotel, Cartel Coffee Lab was destined for success, assuming the city’s residents supported another coffee shop. You see, in the Austin, Texas market, coffee shops seem to be on every corner. Many competitors coupled with a market that is above 80 degrees for about half the year, our team had to find unique ways to introduce and promote Cartel Coffee Lab as a destination for Austinites and visitors alike.

THE SOLUTION

Our team tapped a long list of critical Austin, Texas-based influencers, community VIPs and local media to spread the word about the series of three events planned to introduce Austin, Texas, to the Cartel Coffee Lab brand. From VIP tastings to sample packs to traditional media outreach,  our multi-pronged approach netted tremendous attention online and offline. More than 20 influencer mentions appeared alongside nearly 20 pieces of local media coverage.
