Snackbox Dishes: Favorite Austin Spots for Beer

By Dana Sotoodeh

If you know Team Snackbox, you’re aware that we love food and drink. Our client, Adelbert’s Brewery, is Austin-based and one of our favorite beers to cool down with. They specialize in making bottled conditioned Belgian beers for people to sip, savor and enjoy—and trust us—they’re extremely enjoyable.

A huge perk of working in beautiful Austin, Texas is the abundance of establishments with cool ambiances and even cooler food and drink.  These are our top three Austin establishments carrying Adelbert’s.

Check it.

1.)  Whip In– This joint is in South Austin and directly off Interstate 35. You probably pass it when you’re stuck in traffic and get it confused with a small convenient store—but don’t let it fool you. This cozy establishment serves a wide variety of delicious Indian food, local beers on tap and has a small market equipped with beer aisles in which you can purchase brew.  They even have their own brew house where they create their own ales. Want to open one at your table? No problem. Pick up a cold Adelbert’s and enjoy some spicy Indian cuisine while listening to live bands outside. Can it really get any better?

2.)  Red’s Porch– Are you planning your fabulous Sunday brunch in the middle of your workday? We know what you’re envisioning. Dog-friendly patios, huge plates of food to cure your Saturday hangover and a wide variety of drinks. Red’s Porch is your go-to place.  Last but not least, Adelbert’s is on tap. Enjoy your food and drink on the huge outdoor patio that spreads across two floors—or eat indoors. Happy brunching!

3.)  Whole Foods Market– You’ve been to a Whole Foods, but have you visited the mother ship Whole Foods located on Lamar in downtown Austin? There’s nothing better than eating at one of the various restaurants inside, knocking out your weekly grocery shopping, and picking up some Adelbert’s to take home with you. This has to be the definition of productivity.

If you’ve had the opportunity to explore the options above, how about taking a trip to Adelbert’s Brewery in North Austin? They’re open throughout the week for brewery tours and tastings and have weekly food trucks to kick those after-work munchies.
